SUPPORTING BALLPARK: FEEDBACK DUE TOMORROW
Help Reimagine the Ballpark Neighborhood in Denver's New Downtown Area Plan
The City is updating the Downtown Area Plan, and your public comment can shape the Ballpark neighborhood for the next 20 years.
The Downtown Area Plan serves as the city’s policy roadmap, guiding future decisions on streets, housing, safety, zoning, and other areas.
It’s a lengthy document, but page 74 highlights key proposals for Ballpark, including:
- Expanding the 5280 Trail through Wynkoop and 21st Streets to connect people, parks, and neighborhoods.
- Creating a 21st Shared Street as a greenway and festival space with trees, wide sidewalks, bike facilities, and places to gather.
- Supporting Larimer Street with new retail, cultural spaces, and a stronger north-south connection.
- Building a Ballpark Greenway that links Coors Field to Commons Park and the South Platte River.
- Improving safety with better lighting, security, and outreach to make the neighborhood welcoming day and night.
Click here to leave a supportive comment for these Ballpark priorities.
These investments can bring more life, connection, and community to Ballpark and LODO, but they need strong public support. It takes 1 minute to leave a comment on the Downtown Area Plan and show your support.
The deadline is Thursday, August 29, please leave your comment today!
The more neighbors and businesses who leave positive comments on page 74, the more likely the Ballpark neighborhood receives the resources and attention you all deserve.
